A large Imari charger decorated in underglaze blue and iron-red enamels with gilding, the well painted with a vase of peony and chrysanthemum, the border with shaped reserves of cranes perched in blossoming cherry trees. Diameter: 45.7 cm. c. 1700.
A miniature Japanese Arita double gourd vase decorated with a scrolling floral design in iron-red, yellow and green enamels, the neck slightly reduced and fitted with a white metal stopper to allow its use as a flacon. Height: 6.1 cm. Eighteenth century.
