A Sevres-style ecuelle and cover decorated with floral reserves on a turquoise ground, the bowl with entwined handles and the domed cover surmounted by a laurel leaf and berry handle. Interlaced LL enclosing the letter K in blue enamel with the number 9 below. Footrim and rim of cover pierced. Incised mark DU to foot. Interlaced LL mark to interior of cover. Height: 12.0 cm; width across handles 17.7 cm. The porcelain 18th century Sevres, later decorated.
The porcelain is flawed with some areas of crazing to interior and cover, presumably due to refiring. A firing fault/hairline to the rim of the bowl. The handle of the cover has been off and has overpainting where reattached but not particularly conspicuous. No other faults.
