A fine silver-gilt snuff bottle, relief-decorated in enamels with a writhing dragon, the sides studded with turquoise and coral. Silver gilt stopper mounted with glass imitating tourmaline. Height: 2 ½ in. Probably 20th cent. Tests as sterling quality. One turquoise is missing. No other damage. Ex-Kaynes-Klitz collection. |
