An unusual qingbai incense burner of cup form with broad flaring lip, flanged pedestal base and flaring six-lobed foot. Height: 8.4 cm. S. Song, 11/12th cent. Gold repairs as indicated. Stacey Pierson illustrates two similar examples in Qingbai Ware: Chinese Porcelain of the Song and Yuan Dynasties (Nos. 107 & 108), both with a less attractive style of foot. |
