A Chinese scroll painted on silk with a landscape scene of two horses, executed in the style of Giuseppe Castiglione. Length: approx 53 in. (painted area: 40 in. x 11 in.).Early-mid 20th cent. The scroll is a bit grubby with staining showing, especially on the reverse. The scroll is beginning to part from its hanger and needs reinforcement at the back at this point. |
