A Staffordshire pottery silver lustre jug with a pearlware-type body decorated with a floral resist pattern. Height: 5 5/8 in. Early 19th cent. Some rubbing to lustre as shown in the photos. No other damage. Please be aware that reflection has influenced the appearance of some of the photos. A similar jug is illustrated in A Collector’s History of English Pottery by Griselda Lewis (Antique Collector’s Club) p. 154, dated 1810-20. |
