Old Chinese hand mirror comprising a rectangular low-relief carved jade/hardstone panel depicting buddhist symbols and a jade/hardstone belt hook mounted in silver. Jade/hardstone is a pale celadon color with greyish inclusions. The silver portion has an incised decoration; bottom of handle is marked "silver." Size: Jade panel: ~4-3/4 x3-1/2 inches; Belt hook: ~3-7/8 inches long. Overall length: ~7-1/2 inches. Condition: Generally very good condition, with some streaking of mirror consistent with age deterioration. |
