The restrained design is with semi-precious hard stones in an overlay technique including jade, serpentine, lapis lazuli, amethyst, mother-of-pearl, carnelian and agate. The scene depicts cranes and peonies along with decorative rock formations, all which allude to longevity...

The pair of patinated table lamps on three feet, of elegant vasiform with wide mouth, has a candle prick resting on a lotus base. The lamps have a bronze finish with green and gilt flecks. The pair is fitted with dual sockets. They appear to date from the mid century. Perhaps Korean or Japanese. Mesurements: H 22 3/4"; total height 38".

Indonesian Reverse Glass Painting depicting scenes from the Mahabharata. The painting appears to be an example of Balinese glass painting, with Chinese, Arabic and wayang/shadow puppet influences, and very likely dates from the very early part of the 20th century. Balinese glass painting tradition was established in Java in the 19th century and in Bali in the early 1920s. There were several glass painting centers in Balinese villages...
