Maling tea caddy made for Ringtons Tea

This hexagonal tea caddy was by Maling for Rington's Tea, for the North East Coast Industries Exhibition of 1929. Filled with tea, they sold for 6 shillings and 6 pence. Five of the sides are decorated with transfer prints of local bridges and the other one features St Nicholas Cathedral, Newcastle. The underside of the lid has a transfer print dated 1929. The base has a transfer print of Rington's Tea warehouse. The diameter is 160mm and the height is 140mm. It is in excellent condition.
