| This is a rare phoenix headed ewer of the Song period. 9 1/2 inches in height. Covered with a creamy white glaze, this is of the Ding type. It has been published and exhibited at the University of Pennsylvania Museum, Treasures of the Chinese Scholar. Also, pictured in the book Symbols and Rebuses of Chinese Art.
