| If you have never seen this design before it is really a work of sculpture! Very hard to find too! Designed by Grete Prydz Kittelsen for Tostrup, Norway. c. 1950- 60. Prydz Kittelsen, b. 1917 in Oslo, is considered one of the major players of the Scandanavian design movement 40's-60's. This cuff measures 1 1/4" W x an inner measurement of 7" L- which includes a 1" opening. It sits beautifully on the wrist. A solid sterling silver with vermeil cuff uses a mesh like background and hosts playful green enamel flaps which focus your attention immediately. As if to circulate air, these vents or flaps, repeat around the cuff in 3 rows. Hard to believe this was produced 50 years ago- it could be a work of today! Excellent all original condition. All enamel intact, could probably use a polish. One flap on left side has a slight variance in lighter color, from firing- does not detract, just mentioning for accuracy.
