| Beautiful Scottish Sterling pin depicting an Ancient Ship and Knot motif by artist Ian MacCormick of Scotland. Fabulous details and folkloric feel. A wonderful peek back to a bygone era... Celtic Art Industries was founded in the mid 50's to continue the industry of Jewelry in the IONA tradition. There were 3 artists involved, one being MacCormick. He subsequently ventured off into a solo career and this piece is from that period -mid-later 50's. This piece is hallmarked on the reverse with his Initials, the word IONA, STERLING ands SCOTLAND. It measures 2 1/4" W x 2" H. It is in excellent condition. Safety catch added for extra security. It has nice weight and would be perfect with your tartan plaid, kilt, sweater or coat!
