|Very rare find! I have had many pieces of Jewelry by this artist but never an enamel bowl. Never even seen any enamels by Panis for that matter. Just purchased from a Cape Cod estate not far from where this artist had been active the last half century! Panis was a member of the Boston Society of Arts & Crafts and his meticulous distinctive pierced & hammered style, has especially in recent years, become highly sought after. Bowl is done in Copper, has a scalloped edge and measures approx. 7" in W x 2 1/4" H. Enamel colors are Robin's Egg Blue and Cobalt Blue in a dripped, lined, seemingly random? pattern. Really interesting to look at. Enamel in beautiful condition with no signs of loss or damage! Unbelievable for 50+ years! I have not polish the copper and will leave that to the next owner's discretion. Signed on bottom of bowl with Panis triangular stamp. A really gorgeous piece of art by Cape Cod's, Stavre Gregor Panis!|
