sold to Germany, thanks
This is a Song period Pottery Mei Ping vase. It comes from the collection of the late Alice Boney. The watermarks that you see in the creamy glaze gives this vase the location. It was made in Chuluhsien kiln in Norther China. The Kiln was flooded in the great Huanghe flood of 1103 and potteries were washed into the river. 10 1/8 inches high. There is no restoration and no chips. The brown spots in the photograph are in the glaze. The watermarks prove that this vase was made before 1103.
