Cleveland was born in Washington Court House, Ohio. She studied art at the Art Students League & Pratt Institute in New York. Worked primarily in ink and watercolor, she is beat known for her illustrations in books and magazines. Her series of Southwest and Eskimo illustrations are considered very scarce.
