| From the Konyak People of Northeast India, a hide shield with pigment designs and dyed goat hair tassels. In very good condition this shield is from a Santa Fe collection. It is constructed of thick leather from the Water Buffalo and ornamented with white kaolin, charcoal and red goat hair tassels. The shield grip is of woven cane and is well patinated from use. The carrying sling, while worn remains in place. There are some scuffs and edge wear but the over all condition is very good. Mid 20th C. Size 33"x13". | ||||||||||
