| From Java, this Pedang Lurus has a very fine quality chased silver hilt with a cross segment resembling quillions. The silver covered scabbard is bordered with a wave pattern engraving. The silver throat of the scabbard is stepped to fit the hilt guard exactly. The blade has prominent pamor and is slightly curved with a partial double edge. There is a small amount of dark rust at the tip. The scabbard has a small area of loss at the front top as shown in the photos and has two breaks one at the front and also at the back. Late 19th C.
