CLARKE & CLARKE Art + Artifacts
|A well crafted, large Kard with what appears to be a marine ivory hilt. The back of the tang is patterned and inlayed with a border of silver wire and brass squares. The large, well formed blade is pitted on both sides, near where the hilt joins the blade as well as showing some small areas of light pitting on both sides near the tip. The scabbard appears to be ostrich skin and is finished with a steel tip. The ornate scabbard throat has losses on the back side, as shown. Overall size 16", blade is 10.75".|
