| A scarce, sterling quality silver cigarette case. The front with and engraved scene titled Moscow, Kremlin. The back with a personalized, war time presentation inscription which reads, "Army Aviator Petrov from his friends and comrades on land. 1942. The interior is gilt finish and both the lid and back bear the District Mint Mark of the type used from 1927-1946 along with the the district Assayers mark indicating a standard of fineness of 84 Zolotniks. The exterior of the case is in very good condition with slight abrasion and slight dents from use and age. The hinge and lock are sound and the lock button is a sapphire colored cabachone. A scarce and desirable, early war time Soviet case in very good condition. Size 4 1/8" x 3 1/4" | |||||||||
