|A good example of an early 20th C, Nepalese kukri from the Gurkha Hill Tribes. The contoured bone handle and ebony butt cap are mounted on the tang with a traditional bonding material made of kind of tree sap called "Lava". The forged blade is adorned with an incised pattern and has been well cared for. It is in good condition, with no rust or damage. The wood scabbard is carved with a traditional pattern and bound with woven cane bands, the lower of which is missing. The scabbard tip is formed metal. The small flint striker and auxiliary knife are missing. Probably dates to pre WW1. Overall length 15", blade 11".|
