This is a limited edition, hand signed and numbered, unframed seriolithograph on paper by James Flood. It is in excellent condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
James Flood, American (1944- ), was born in Philadelphia, moved to Miami in 1961. In 1965, he joined the Navy, serving on the cruiser USS Wright and the destroyer USS Laffey, and then the battleship USS New Jersey. Upon returning to Miami, James Flood earned an associates degree in Art from Miami-Dade Community College. He worked as a sailing instructor and deck hand on a Miami River tugboat before joining Eastern Airlines in 1974 where he worked in their art department until 1991. He is a member of the Naval Institute and the American Society of Marine Artists. His work is on display at the Naval Institute in Annapolis, the Wiley Post Museum in Oklahoma City, the Olympia Memorial in Philadelphia, the battleship Alabama in Mobile and numerous other ships and museums. In addition, he is an accomplished musician and avid maritime historian.
