Title: Santa Comes to New York Artist: Alexander Chen Medium: Mixed Media on paper Size with border: 18.5" x 11.5" Edition: I83/695 This is a limited edition, hand signed and numbered, unframed mixed media on paper by Alexander Chen. It is in excellent condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Alexander Chen, China/U.S., (1952- ), was born in Canton, China, where he began drawing as a child. At age 16, he moved to the countryside where he worked as a farmer for four years, while continuing his art. For the next six years, Chen worked for an on the road theater, painting stage backgrounds. At age 26, Chen was back in Canton as an art student. In 1989 Chen and his wife immigrated to America where he translated his love for the U.S. into art that reflects his deep feelings for the busy cities, beautiful countryside and national parks. His images have been used by companies such as Toshiba Electric, Northwest Airlines, and Shin Nippon Co (Japan) and also on calendars, jigsaw puzzles, book illustrations, etc. The price includes shipping, handling, and insurance in the continental U.S. |
