Antique Persian Large Copper Bowl, 18th C.
ZAND DYNASTY (1751-1794). A dynasty that ruled in Persia (excluding Khorasan) from Shiraz, from the time when Nder Shahs (r. 1736-47) successor s, the Afsharids, failed to recover western Persia until the founding of the Quajar dynasty by ḡ Moḥammad Khan Quajar. Description: This item is a 18th century Persian copper bowl, upper band we have engraved Arabic script naming the twelve Imams of shia fallowed by fine geometric design. The bowl bears the engraved maker's name and the date 1170 AH which is 1756. Measurements: 4 inches high and 12 inches in diameter. Condition Report: Very Good condition.
