Antique Persian Copper Bowl, 18th C.
ZAND DYNASTY (1751-1794). A dynasty that ruled in Persia (excluding Khorasan) from Shiraz, from the time when Nāder Shah’s (r. 1736-47) successors, the Afsharids, failed to recover western Persia until the founding of the Quajar dynasty by Āḡā Moḥammad Khan Quajar. Description: This item is a 18th century Persian copper bowl, decorated with a band of Arabic script followed by floral cartouche. Measurements: 2 1/4inches high and 7 inches in diameter.
