Franz Xavier Bergman (1861 – 1936) was a Viennese sculptor who produced numerous cold-painted bronze Oriental and animal figures. Noted for his detailed
and colorrful work, and signing either a 'B' in an urn-shaped cartouche or 'Nam Greb' - 'Bergman' in reverse. These marks were used to disguise his
identity on erotic works. Cold painted bronze of a man in prayer, depicted with hands raised to the heavens, kneeling on a carpet and surrounded
by his weapons. Dimensions: 4.5"H x 5"L. Condition Report: Excellent condition and bears the artist's signature.
