Early American Queen Anne lowboy, c.1760s, walnut/pine, Boston or Mass. North Shore origin. Size: 30 inches wide x 19.5 inches deep x 30 inches high. A New England period Queen Anne lowboy of a diminutive size, measuring only 30 inches in width. The rectangular top has a molded edge above a joined case with a single long drawer above three smaller drawers, the central of which is adorned with a carved fan design. The lower apron is carved and shaped and boasts two acorn pendant drops. Brasses are later replacements. The plain cabriole legs are finely shaped and terminate in bold, pad feet. Excellent condition.
