This Continental Belle Epoch era cigarette holder is carved from bowenite and is mounted with gold at the terminal end and decorated with an encircling openwork band in platinum and diamonds. Circa 1905. Probably of French origin. It is offered in its original tooled leather case, stamped by the retailer, F. Gatti of Milan, Italy. The quality is reminiscent of the work of Cartier or Faberge. Size: 3 7/8" length. Excellent condition.
