A signed Japanese Meiji period Ivory carving of Hotai, mounted on a wooden stand. This heavy ivory carving has been realistically carved with added colour added to enhance the effect. The base bears a inscribed signiture. This measures 6 inches high by 3 inches wide. Condition is pretty good with the colours being bright and vibrant. A chip to his nose is visible. |
