Unusual nine prong "vajra" with stylized lotus and round knob at the center. Bronze, fine dark-green patina in the recesses. Tibet, early 19th century or earlier. Length: 13 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: the "vajra" or "dorge", is a ritual instrument which was used by Tibetan lamas during tantric Buddhism ceremonies. With its nine prongs, this particular vajra belonged to a high ranking lama.
