INES FERRERO. Oil on board, 24 1/8" x 18 5/8" (614 x 473mm.), horse and jockey rendered frontally, the white charger and the red and white silks jockey against a background of red, yellow and earth tones thinly applied with a wide brush, the entire composition against a gray-painted ground. Signed at the edge of the composition, lower right. Attractive 3"-wide brown-stained wood frame (slight wear). Some inoffensive wear to the ground, including a 10mm. long scratch and a 30mm. long scratch, short (2-3mm.) scratches, a shallow 15mm. x 2mm. abrasion (lower right corner) and checking to the paint surface. Probably, painted in the 1980s. Contemporary Argentinean painter.
