This is the largest silver dollar ever struck by the U.S. Mint. It is in proof condition; diameter: 40.6mm; denomination$1; date: 1988; material: .999 Fine Silver; weight: 31.1g. The reverse a Heraldic Eagle. The obverse has Walking Liberty.the Walking Liberty design is the same one that was used on the half dollar coins from 1916-1947, the full length figures of Liberty striding toward the dawn of a new day, wrapped in the stars and stripes. The "Walking Liberty" is one of the most beautiful of all U.S. coin designs.
