A very heavy and solid Georgian dram glass dating to c1750. A two piece glass with the deceptive conical bowl deeply wrythen flute moulded; this continuing to the stem where it gives an incised effect. Mounted on a thick firing foot with rough pontil. English lead glass with a good dark tone to the metal. Height: 3 5/8" Rim Diameter: 2" Foot Diameter: 2 5/16" The production date of this glass probably coincides with the production date of incised twist wine glasses.
