| An elegant mid 18th century Georgian toasting glass dating to c1750. A beautifully constructed two piece glass with a drawn trumpet bowl; a slim stem and a wide conical foot with rough pontil. Perfect condition; with just a small un-burst bubble in the bowl base. Height: 7 1/4” Rim Diameter: 2 7/8” Foot Diameter: 3 1/4”. By their nature these glasses are rarely found and those that are; are more commonly in soda metal. This English lead example is a rare survivor from the period. Similar glasses can be seen in Bickerton; plates 332 & 333 on page 136. | ||
