C1725 English Georgian Bucket Bowl Baluster Goblet
An English Georgian small goblet dating to C1725-30. A lipped bucket bowl with solid base above a plain stem section and then a hollow inverted baluster and basal knop. A good wide conical folded foot with rough pontil. Lead glass with a light grey tone and in good condition. Height: Just over 6 ¼” Rim: 2 7/8” Foot: 3 1/8” Bowl capacity: 4 1/2 fl oz. Bucket bowl balusters are scarce and this is a good example and marks the transition to the lighter form of baluster glass.
