This is a very interesting country doll bed from the 1840-50's. It is solid as a rock and has quite a bit of the wallpaper still covering it. The arched headboard is a nice touch of beauty in a chunky little doll bed. It comes with a feather tick mattress and pillows and sheets and two quilts. One is an old quilt and someone copied the old with similar fabrics and made a wonderful replica. One quilt to play with and one to exhibit and save as part of history...

Antique cloth doll with wonderful pencil face. She is made from feed sack material with the words showing slightly on her hands and body. She is very heavy and firmly stuffed with cotton and rags. She has the early hour glass body with continuous arms and attached legs. She has an aura of grace and calmness. Her dress is early and not original to her but is a wonderful brown calico that looks like it has always been on her. She has on under the dress and early petticoat and a pair of pantaloons...

Antique pair of doll's knit long johns or long underwear. They are hand sewn and probably cut from some larger knit item. They are not super stretchy so the measurements will be important if you want to put them on a doll or bear. I think they are so cute they would look wonderful hung or framed. They measure 9" long, 4" across the shoulders, armhole 1 1/2" and 4" across the hips. This is with them laying flat so figures should be doubled...

This 22" rag stuffed cloth doll is most unusual. She is hand sewn with an embroidered face. Her hair is a nubby flannel and is scalloped around her forehead. She has a pinched nose and a red floss mouth. She has fading to her black cloth body. She is a later doll so probably first quarter of the 19th century. She will certainly keep your other cloth dolls in line!

A 26" Art Fabric Mills cloth doll with a patented Feb 13, 1900 stamped on the bottom of her foot. She has age coloring and some staining and a little snag under her left eye. She is big and her dress looks like it might have been made for her. She sits nicely even though she has a continuous leg. She is a good size to sit in a small child's chair.

Here is a late 19th C doll that has played hard in her life time. She has some nice features; the maker didn't forget to give her ears, she feather stitched her black fabric hair to her head, and she gave her a fringe of brown yarn from top of ears over the top of her head. She is hand and treadle machine sewn including her shoes that don't come off so she never leaves the house without her shoes on. Her red dress has seen better days but I love how it looks on her...

How often do you see a real antique pencil post doll bed and then have lots of textiles both original and antique additions to go with it. The bed has an interesting history that goes with it. It was made by Joseph Gerrodette in 1813 according to a note attached that was written in 1905. In more recent history it was in a museum on the West Coast...
