A very nice clean pair of blue pantry boxes out of one of the earliest houses in this town just a couple of days ago. The smaller is a little darker but it has been inside the larger one for maybe 50 or 60 years. The sizes across the tops are 8 1/4" and 9 3/4". The are of heavy construction and are sound. There is nail missing at the bottom of the larger one, see photo, but it doesn't effect the integrity of the box. Circa 1840-1850.

6" antique Shaker fingered box with left pointing fingers. The original surface is a rich brown. The band on the cover is a little wider than some and might mean it is from one of the Maine communities. It is circa 1850-60. The box is in good shape but the rim of the cover has two bites out of the rim. This is a very nice shaker box in a small size.

Nice small size real Shaker oval box with very nice fine fingers that taper down to almost no thickness at all. This is a circa 1860-70 box with refinement was at its best. The lid fits perfectly. The color is a mellow soft honey color. The box has a break at the left corner...see close up picture. It is not a new happening and is stable and is very hard to see, the camera does a much better job than the eye. The box is 5 1/4" at the top and is 2 1.8" tall...

All original wooden bowl and just the way I like to see them, showing their age gracefully. This bowl is in dry attic surface with a scrubbed center but darkening around the inside edge. It is very light weight and has no cracks and is really out of round, 14 1/2" by 13". It stands 3 1/2" tall. A real beauty in every way. Circa 1840

Antique oval finger box sometimes called Harvard Shaker but the verdict is still out on that. The opposing fingers are very finely done and secured with copper nails. The box has original dry black paint and is 6 1/2" long by 5" wide and is 2 3/4" tall. This is a very nice clean original oval box.

Wonderful oval wallpaper box with brown, blue and bittersweet wallpaper. it is all original and hand sewn and dates to the 1840's. It is 7" by 3 1/2" by 4" tall. It has some scuffs and wear at the edges so look at the pictures carefully. This is a box that would look good set anywhere.

A set of 6 spice tins with original tin carrying tray. Three of the tins are still readable, Mace, Spice and Cloves. The tins have the original japanned surface, (black with a rose colored hue). The tins are almost 3" tall and the carrier is 5 1/2" by 4" with the handle 4" high. This is a tin spice set from the 1854-50's that is still usable with nice tight lids.

Round green opposing finger pantry box. It is 5 1/4" across the top by 5" across the bottom and is 2 1/4" high. The green is over a black paint but the green is old and dry.Over the dry green is the remains of an old varnish that is flaking off and is about half gone and just makes the green look darker in spots. In a stack it looks really good.circa 1840

Early and nice antique wallpaper box in an early brown and blue paper. There are a few bites out of the wallpaper on either side of the lid and wear along the edges of the box. Please look carefully at the pictures to see the condition of the paper. The box is 5 1/2" by 3 1/2". The box is all hand sewn and in very good shape for the age...1845-1850

Antique bale handle pantry box in the best orig. old dry red paint. It is 9 3/4" across the top and is 9 1/4" across the bottom. It has a finger lap on the lid making it a step above the average pantry box. The box also has a handy or not so handy hole on one side that must have led to something very tasty on the inside. It would be perfect for keeping yarn balls and just have the yarn feed through the hole or you could simply turn the hole to the back...

Heavy antique pantry box in a very dark green/black paint. The surface is dry, crusty and nice. The pantry box is 9 1/2" across the top and 9 1/4" across the bottom. There are no breaks.

Very nice pantry box in original red dry paint. The box is made from heavy stock. 9 3/4" across the top and 9 3/8" across the bottom. There is oxidation around the nails and there are a few newer nails here and there but they too are 19th C. nails.
