| This is a wonderful miniature antique chest of drawers made out of cardboard and press board and dates to the 1830-40's. The tab visible from the front is meant for hanging and is part of the back board (cardboard). The knobs are little round head screws. The piece has great old patina and has some scuffing on the base but what a base it has. Really nice cutouts. The drawers are the perfect size to store earrings and jewelry or tiny objects. They are cardboard boxes paper with that green paper you see on wallpaper boxes. The case is 8 1/2" across and 6" tall and 3" deep. The tab on top projects 3" by 1". The tiniest drawers at the top are just over 1" wide and 2 3/4" deep.The bottom drawer is 8" by 2 3/4" deep. There are 21 drawers. This is a great piece of folk art all hand made. | ||
