| Estate find hollow cut silhouette of a man with the impressed name King. I think it is probably William King of Salem Ma that was a noted artist in the cutting of likeness in the early 1800's. This silhouette is without a glass in the frame and the frame has been glued together. I think it doesn't take a detective to figure out that the silhouette was dropped and the glass and frame broken. There is also a nick in the paper at the top right near the rim. See all the pictures showing the makeshift back and the black backing to the paper silhouette. The frame is 5" by 4". It is as found even with the dust. What this does have going for it is that it is signed. | ||
