| Late 1800's blue velvet pinch purse with red ribbon bows at each end. This is one of the largest pinch purses I have seen. They are considered Shaker but I am sure the Shakers aren't the only ones that made these. It is 8" long and 3" high. It is in the form of a triangle and opens like a mouth when the two ends are pushed in. One this large probably was used to store sewing items like spools of thread, needle cases, scissors and the like. The velvet shows wear but other than that the condition is good. This is an interesting good looking storage pouch. | ||
