| Antique rag doll 22" tall with just the slightest indication of a face that once was there. She is firmly stuffed with cotton and all hand sewn...see pictures with close ups. She is constructed in a really interesting way with her leg attachment. I have never seen it before but it addresses the problem of how to attach legs so they bend easily so the doll can sit. This doll has a 1 1/2" section of flat material and it works so well and is such a good and easy way to assure the dolls legs move freely. (This mother was really thinking.)He right arm has a break that needs a couple of stitches to stabilize it. The doll has on a pink calico dress that is very fragile at the front shoulder area on her a few small holes on the left sleeve. She also has on a cotton petticoat with lace around the bottom. The is a very nice cloth doll with a quietness about her. Circa 1890-1900 | ||
