| A very fine cloth doll with an exquisite embroidered face and stitched blond hair. She is made with the best and finest linen. She is jointed at her ankles, knees and hips as well at her wrists, elbows and shoulders. She is firmly stuffed with cotton. The pantaloons she wears are very interesting. I don't know how they got on but they are not coming off without ripping a seam so the pictures are with them on. No doubt privacy was an issue. She is in very good condition with the exception of a burst seam at her neck. She is nice an early for a cloth doll with a lot of attention to detail, notice the patch of gold floss below her red lips indicating the tip of her chin. I have not seen that before. She is 18" tall. This doll was surely fashioned after a fancy more expensive china or bisque head doll. This is a most unusual doll. Please see all 6 pictures. | ||
