Antique cloth doll with a pencil drawn face. She has the very early type body with the broad chest, narrow waist, and but doesn't have the flaring hips. She is made of very fine linen and pretty firmly stuffed body. Her arms have been recovered but they are original and her neck has been reinforced with a wide cotton band. Her head tilts to her right a bit but is stable. Her head has some wear and holes but nothing serious to detract from her good looks. She has layers of clothes. Pantaloons then 2 early petticoats, then a sheer fine cotton dress that has the ruffle at the neck and then her very early print dress. The dress has been newly shortened and hemmed to accommodate her so the dress is old and wonderful but not original to her. She is 21" tall and is circa 1870-80. (She is just the way I bought her.)
