A complete Shaker made red doll clothes outfit all in red. It has the red wool cape with hood, poplar bonnet with red neck ruffle, red wool dress with the red wool bertha (collar) over the top part of the dress. The Shaker women made and sold these exact replicas of the clothes that they wore. They used the same material, the left over scraps, to make these outfits. They were often made for all dolls they were given or dolls they bought to wear the outfits. This one is almost perfect with about four moth holes in the cape and all the rest looks good. It is on a new display dress form that came it came on when I bought it. This is a special Shaker set of doll clothes and they look so good they don't even need a doll. The cloak is 11" top to bottom. and is circa 1890-1900
