19th C. wooden doll with carved and painted face. She has black hair, faded painted blue eyes, carved nose and carved out lips. She has a very serious look on her face. Not playful at the minute. She is covered with cloth from her neck down but her head and body are all wood and her arms are carved and finished with cloth starting just above the hands. The arms do more so they are independent of her body. Her legs are rolled linen homespun cloth without a wooden core. Her hairdo makes me think she is 1920's but everything else seems 1870-80 if not earlier. She is pretty much all original other then the dress that I put on her. She is 10 1/2" tall.
