Please refer to our stock # 1258 when inquiring.
Handel scenic lamp measuring 18" in diameter and 22" high. The lamp has a domical shade molded with 8 vertical lobes in chipped ice finish painted on the interior with a highly detailed woodland landscape of birch trees, and lake, including a farm building on the horizon under a pale evening sky streaked in an orange sunset. The base retains a fine and rare Handel Flemish bronze patina on an desirable urn shaped standard molded with ribs on a square foot with original Hubbell sockets and acorn pulls. Both base and shade are in mint condition with both signed Handel as is the shade mounting ring. The shade is also numbered 6534 and signed by the highly regarded Handel decorator John Bailey. Artist signed Handel painted table lamps usually sell in the low teens to $30,000 as few exist in excellent condition as this one. A very beautiful lamp and a quality investment.
