| Handel desk lamp with a rare late 1800's Handel Tam-O-Shanter shade which is signed Handel 754 with a model description of Pompaque and Patent numbers 97966 and 775818. The shade has no chips or cracks but some minor rubs to the obverse painted surface which is considered minor for a shade over 100 years old. The color is astounding cranberry/mauve in a textured finish similar to Handel's Mosserine finish. The base is bronze with raised lily pad decoration with one Hubbell socket with acorn pull. The lamp measures 21 inches high and 13 inches at it's widest. Definitely an eye dazzler antique desk lamp for the money. | |
