| A huge and desirable high quality confetti glass Chicago Mosaic lamp composed of 100% granite backed glass using confetti glass on top and striated glass in a rainbow of reds and amber colors. Also a rarity in CM shades is the use of cut glass jewels in the center of each flower making for a spectacular show of brilliance. Also very desirable is this shades pairing with Chicago's huge tree trunk base, which they reserved for their most special lamps. The base has 3 Hubbell sockets and acorn pulls. A very large and imposing lamp measuring 28 inches high by 20” wide. The shade mounts to the base with CM's attached screw on riser topped by a heavy bronze cap and finial original to the lamp. I count only a few glass pieces with heat lines among the 200 estimated individual cut pieces which is remarkable considering the age and weight of this shade. Both shade and base are in excellent condition and would be quite the center of attention in any room it is place in. | |
