Handel Lamp - Teroca Leaf & Berry Overlay
A great looking and early Handel leaf & berry overlay lamp. The Handel Lamps Book by highly respected Handel experts Carole and John Hibel & John Fontaine, indicate that this lamp produced by Handel in 1906 were called "Teroca" and introduced their new line of painted overlay lamps. The book on page 40 shows these shade and base combinations. The lamp measures 21" high with each side of the shade measuring 12" and 16" from opposing corners across the center. The shade is in fair condition with a repaired crack in one corner of one panel. The base has been freshly wired with period cloth cord. This lamp is very rare in age and beauty and considering the repaired panel an excellent value in the Handle table lamp market. The shades were never signed on these lamps but the base was signed Handel as shown.
