| Fine and rare Newcomb College matte glazed flower frog measuring 4" wide and 3" tall. The frog is composed of 8 stylized flowers in Newcomb's trademark pale blue glaze radiating from a central trunk form in Newcomb's pale green glaze. The piece is marked with CL for Cynthia Littlejohn probably from her period as an Art Craftsman from 1914-20, which is consistent with the dating from the large Newcomb bowl the frog was found in. A very rare piece to find and a must for your Newcomb bowl. | |
