Gustav Stickley two over two Mahogany Dresser measuring 29" high by Gustav Stickley two over two Mahogany Dresser measuring 29" high by 48" wide by 22" deep. The dresser once had a mirror now gone save for one oak mirror support (pictured). Full Gustav Stickley 1912 label is under the top right drawer and a red Gustav Stickley red brand outside the left drawer side (both as shown). The dresser is in need of restoration thus the low start price for a Gus case piece that often sells over $5000 in good condition and do not often surface. CONDITION The dresser has obviously been painted. We stripped one drawer to show the beautiful Mahogany grain used - best of the period. The piece strips clean since it is fine grained Mahogany rather than deep grained Oak. The legs have been cleanly shortened at the bottom about 4". One side panel has some lifting/loss of veneer at the center of the panel which needs to be further identified & corrected upon stripping. (see picture). There is some wear to the top front edge of the dresser (as shown). This piece is certainly a project worth the time and expense for those into restoring top tier arts & crafts cabinet pieces. I think of the exceptional piece this would become with a nice deep Roycroft Mahogany finish. We are offering this at a low starting bid of $500 and no reserve.
